[Quotes from Watchtower publications, including their New World Translation, are in blue.]
“Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne…” Rev. 5:6
“For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd …” Rev. 7:17
It is no secret that the WT demotes Jesus Christ and puts the “Organization” in his place.
In the WT article, Keep Safe as part of God’s Organization, Sept. 1, 1998, this is very evident:
On page 11 it says, “’The Lamb’, the cherubs and many angels [will] be in close proximity to God’s throne.” How sneaky of the WT to lump the Lamb in with the angels and put him in “close proximity” to the throne when Rev. 22:3 unapologetically puts him on the throne! Listen: Rev. 22:3, “The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.” And verse 1 also refers to the “river of the water of life ... flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
The WT must address these Scriptures because they are there for all who read the Bible to see. But they do all they can to neutralize the plain words of God, which always exalt Jesus.
Another quote from the July 1, 98 WT, p 9: “And what joy to look forward to the time when all living creatures, heavenly and earthly, will be organized to praise Jehovah God in unity!”
Yes, it is Jehovah God in unity, but, to the dismay of the WT, it includes the Lamb! He receives identical praise to his Father’s. The triune God is praised and worshipped in the most superlative language imaginable. But strangely, the WT left out verses 11, 12 where Jesus is specified. However, they cannot escape it in verse 13, 14 where the Father is included. Listen to the entire section of Rev. 5:11-14; these are the words as God gave them:
Rev. 5:11-14
“Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang: ‘Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!’ Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: ‘To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’ The four living creatures said, ‘Amen,’ and the elders fell down and worshiped.”
According to God’s Word, all creation worships “him who sits on the throne and the Lamb”!
Do you worship Him?
